LARGEST INTERNATIONAL OPEL CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR LAUNCHED

 

The new MOKKA X is here. And with it comes the largest Opel campaign of the year. With no fewer than three new video ads, Opel is launching the international 360-degree campaign developed by Scholz & Friends on 14 September in over 30 countries.

The launch campaign for the MOKKA X is just as sporty as the new SUV itself: the campaign ambassadors have pressed the accelerator to the floor once more on screen and enjoy the unexpected luxury-class innovations the MOKKA X comes with.

Each of the three films focuses on a particular feature of the MOKKA X; in one of the clips, Jürgen Klopp is enlightened on set thanks to LED headlights. For non-Opel drivers, Bettina Zimmermann and Kai Wiesinger call the OnStar 24-hour emergency service at the press of a button. And Ken Duken is left speechless at how many ladies a Wi-Fi hotspot in the car can attract.

“The new MOKKA X is a success story with that special something X-tra,” says Opel marketing head Tina Müller. “In the new campaign, we show how the MOKKA X combines premium features with the utmost driving pleasure – this includes the intelligent four-wheel drive and the best connectivity thanks to Apple CarPlay and Opel OnStar as well as the intelligent AFL LED headlight system.”

“We had already managed to establish the first MOKKA as number one in the segment. The new campaign intends to consolidate the position. Above all, this time – as with our successful OnStar campaign – hypertargeted ads played in sequence on Facebook play an outstanding role.”, adds Dr Percy Smend, Managing Partner at Scholz & Friends.

The fully orchestrated campaign can be seen now on TV, online, in print and at the POS.

CONTENT DESK EXPANDED / DANIEL MACK NEW HEAD OF CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Scholz & Friends baut seine Kompetenzen im Content Marketing weiter aus. Der zum Jahreswechsel geschaffene Content Desk wird vergrößert und bekommt eine neue Leitung. In dem kreativen Newsroom arbeiten künftig rund 25 Friends aus allen Bereichen an der orchestrierten Umsetzung von Content-Strategien. Verstärkung kommt zudem von dem Digitalexperten Daniel Mack. Gemeinsam mit Mareike Strelitz und Johann Tischewski übernimmt er die Leitung der Einheit in Berlin.
