innogy is launching a Germany-wide orchestrated sales campaign for its SmartHome and photovoltaic products under the motto “Erlebe, was dein Zuhause kann” (Experience what all your home can do). The campaign from Scholz & Friends uses plenty of humour to show how innogy inspires everyday heroes to accomplish truly epic feats.

When the days grow darker and cooler, it becomes especially tempting to control the technology at home and generate your own light and power. With innogy’s SmartHome products and solar power installations, anyone can easily experience what all their home is truly capable of. And the new innogy autumn campaign presents this to impressive effect. In small everyday moments, Scholz & Friends shows how thanks to home technology from innogy, they become truly epic for the homeowners. The big launch for the sales campaign will take place in cinemas especially close to points of sale.

Robert Krause, Managing Director Creative at Scholz & Friends, comments: “This year’s autumn campaign takes our communication for the innogy brand to the next level. The commercials are creative highlights and are a strong showcase for the innogy products.”

The orchestrated campaign was developed in cooperation with J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam and will be activated at all relevant touchpoints of the customer journey, such as cinema, social media, online banners, mobile, OOH, radio, print ads, direct mailing, POS, etc. The ads will start airing in cinemas on 1 November.

And it will soon be possible to see this commercial on the big screen and online:

A dark storm cloud is closing in on a lit family home. A window that has only been pushed closed is blown open by the wind and in the family’s living room, a smartphone warns: window open. Heroically, the young father storms down the hall and lightning bathes the scene in blue light for fractions of a second again and again. The scene at the open window worsens dramatically. Can the situation still be salvaged? Finally, his hand reaches the window and closes it. As easy as that. A saviour in such a time of need. But our modest everyday hero was only doing his job – just like the innogy SmartHome security package.

A second commercial drawing on the myth of the bringer of light Prometheus will follow in November.
