CONTENT DESK EXPANDED / DANIEL MACK NEW HEAD OF CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
Scholz & Friends expands its expertise in content marketing. The Content Desk, created at the beginning of the year, is being enlarged and is now under new leadership. In future, the creative newsroom will see around 25 Friends from all areas work on the orchestrated implementation of content strategies. Moreover, they will be reinforced by the digital expert Daniel Mack, who will assume responsibility for the unit in Berlin together with Mareike Strelitz and Johann Tischewski.

Demand for relevant, creative and interactive content is increasing continuously. To provide this, the Scholz & Friends Content Desk works according to the newsroom principle at a round table, where strategists, creatives, community managers, editors and concept developers sit together – closely networked with further expertise possessed by the orchestra in areas including digital media, search engine optimisation and moving-image production in addition to the specialisms of the Realisation Hub.
In September, the management of the Content Desk gained a new member, Daniel Mack. The digital expert and blogger has experience in politics, having been a member of the parliament of the German state of Hesse. On the agency side of the business, he has been responsible for digital projects for brands such as Adidas, Audi and L’Oréal. With the MHM Group, he most recently developed digital strategies for prominent figures including Olympic gold medallist Maria Höfl-Riesch. At the Content Desk, Daniel Mack will from now on hold responsibility for concept development and activation of content projects, thereby completing the management trio including Mareike Strelitz (Head of Art) and Johann Tischewski (Head of Text).

The number of clients being worked on by the Content Desk has risen continuously this year. At present, the unit is creating concepts and content for clients including Fisherman’s Friend, otelo, Deutsche Bahn, innogy and Germany’s Federal Press Office and Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.
